Owner/Operator Richard ‘Rick’ Young, began building the foundation of Adullam Tactics nearly 20 years prior to its formation by enlisting into the United States Coast Guard.  Like many service members, the assumptions made about service life changed while he stood on the southern beaches of New York Harbor as the skyline disappeared in smoke and debris.  From that moment forward, Rick would spend his career cultivating security and operational experience with the Coast Guard’s Counter Drug and Counter Terrorism communities.  With over 20 years of experience and completing operations in Central and South America and Iraq, Rick retired as a Senior Chief Maritime Enforcement Specialist.

Retirement was not the end of Rick’s work in the security industry.  Because of his experience and qualifications as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and Instructor, Rick began teaching Tactical Medicine and Firearms Training to the U.S. Military and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies as a contractor with Academi.  Furthermore, Rick sought additional experience within the industry like serving with the San Diego Padres’ security team and becoming the Sr. Manager of Security and Safety for a six campus multi-state Church and School.

Regardless of his experience and training, Rick credit’s Adullam Tactic’s success to the quality and values of those around him.  The Adullam Tactic isn’t one person, it is the family and network of people that when combined can become great!
